About Oneness Family School

Our vision is a new generation of young leaders equipped, empowered, and energized to reach their full potential and contribute to a better world.

For 30 years Oneness-Family School (OFS) has served families who value student-centered learning and personal growth alongside rigorous curriculum. We’re the Washington, DC area’s only innovative and diverse learning community nurturing academic excellence in the Montessori tradition for early childhood through high school.

What makes Oneness-Family School special?

  • Small class size and student-centered teaching contribute to high academic achievement and social-emotional development as a solid foundation for future success.
  • Hands-on, project-based, and interdisciplinary learning in traditional core academics, STEM, the arts, languages, civics, conflict resolution, and community service foster nimble and collaborative thinkers, creators, builders, and leaders.
  • Our intentionally diverse community expands the horizons and capacities of every student, empowering all learners to thrive in a diverse and rapidly-changing world.
  • Our emphasis on character development and individual potential cultivates good people – not just good students. Whatever paths OFS students choose after graduation, they’re poised to contribute and lead.
  • Our Montessori-inspired, developmentally-appropriate approach to learning meets the academic, social, and emotional needs of our students at every age and stage: early childhood, elementary, middle school, and high school.
  • Our "preschool through high school" model offers an exceptional opportunity for continuity and belonging, contributing to the close-knit environment that helps students and families flourish.
